Reading, writing and arithmetic are important, no doubt. But if schools really want to prepare kids to go out into the world and succeed, then they need to provide them with some understanding of how money works.
The trick (or one of them, at least) is to start early and let the power of compounding work its magic. But compounding can work both in your favor and against it.
